How to Enable Audit Logging for CQ DAM

By default, CQ DAM activity is not logged at a fine-grained level in the JCR repository for auditing purposes. However, high level log entries related to workflow activities are still made to server.log

To enable auditing of DAM activities, you have to configure the OSGi component titled “Day CQ DAM Event Recorder” at /system/console/configMgr See screenshot below:

Once the configuration change is saved (persisted), audit entries will begin to appear in the home directory of each user (E.g. for the ‘admin’ user is /home/users/a/admin) in a node called “activities”. See below a CRX DE Lite screenshot of an example for the “admin” user:

For each node, there will be a property called “additionalInfo” that will provide details - see 'Properties’ tab in CRX DE Lite. See screenshot below of an audit log entry (creation of a 140 pixel x 100 pixel thumbnail in PNG format for an uploaded PDF called “Enable_DAM_Event_Recorder.pdf”).
