AEM with Adaptive Form

We have developed multiple solutions using Adaptive form and Project UI of AEM. Here is the use case-

We created a solution for a digital media firm. A client has a very tedious internal approval process for media content and they were following manual process for it. Process was time consuming for creating and setting live a single media asset.

We have developed a solution for the Client using Adaptive forms, AEM projects UI and custom workflows. Here are the highlights of the solution that we delivered-

Using the solution, the Client can upload different kinds of media files as a single attachment or multiple attachments.

1. The author can also set the metadata for these requests and submit the form.
2. The author can also save a form without submitting it and can retrieve the form in the future and submit.
3. When a form submitted an approval workflow starts on the content.
4. This workflow sends an email to the next approval hierarchy.
5. When the workflow starts it creates a new project related to each form submission and it becomes visible in Project UI of AEM.
6. An approver can see the form in disabled mode on the Form UI. The approver can also add metadata related to him/her.
7. An approver can also add more documents using Projects UI.
8. An approver can also redirect the request to another level of approval based on different conditions.
9. This whole approval process can be rollback i.e. Approval can reject a request or can redirect it to the initiator using Project UI tasks.
10. The solution has multi-level approval for different departments of the client.
11. Once the final request data got approved from the relevant department it got submitted to the final department for adding copyright information.
12. Once the content has copyright, it was made live for end customers.
13. This solution also stores the Document of record (DOR) in PDF form that can be easily downloaded as an asset. For generating PDF, we used Adobe design for creating a pdf template.

We have created multiple solutions using Adaptive forms. Some solutions are used in Government Institutes to maintain their documents as Document Of Records (DOR) in AEM.

For a Client, we have provided a solution where a project becomes dynamically generated with 46 default DAM folder structure. This newly created project becomes visible in AEM projects UI. These default folders also having some specific metadata that we are managing using metadata-profiles and metadata-schemas of AEM. We were also managing the permission of these folders for different user groups. All of this was automated using a single form submission.
