This configuration is for the default landing page of your AEM instance when you browse your AEM instance with URI http://localhost:4502 only and don't specify any page name after that.
Steps to be followed to change the default landing page:
Step 1: Open http://localhost:4503
Step 2: Log in with admin credentials.
Step 3: Go to http://localhost:4502/system/console/configMgr
Step 4: Go to find option [shortcut key Press Ctrl+f] then find for CQ Root Mapping
Step 5: Click on Day CQ Root Mapping configuration which will open a pop as showing in the below screenshot.
Step 6: Change the target value to the new target page.
Default the value of this configuration will be: /content/we-retail/us.html
Possible value: You can put any page name here which you want to open. e.g. if you want to open website site admin then put the value /siteadmin
Step 7: Save the settings and logout. Go for Login again to verify the changes.
